From the very beginning, GYG has been dedicated to crafting mouthwatering Mexican cuisine with only the finest, freshest ingredients.

Founded in Sydney in 2006 by childhood friends Steven Marks and Robert Hazan, Guzman y Gomez was born out of their longing for the genuine, fresh flavours of Mexican food they cherished from their American upbringing. Steven, a former hedge fund manager, and Robert, with a background in fashion wholesale and retail, decided to honour their heritage by creating Guzman y Gomez.

Their vision was to revolutionise fast food by combining the speed and convenience of traditional fast food with high-quality, authentic cuisine.
